Note Card Set

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Here is another project from the Spellbinders™ Gallery. I re-purposed a box that had trash bags in it. When I emptied the box instead of throwing it away I thought it would make a great box to hold a set of note cards.

I covered the box with patterned paper and glued glass pebbles on the bottom for feet. Instant oatmeal boxes are great to use for this project too.

The note cards are 5″ x 7″.

Use various patterned papers to cover the card fronts. Ink up your die templates prior to cutting and embossing. This step make the die cut show up better and adds more color to the card without adding bulk.

Use your favorite JustRite Stampers for the sentiments and borders.

Spellbinders™ products used: S4-114 Standard Circles LG, S4-248 Labels Thirteen, S4-234 Ric Rac Diamond Borderabilities® Petite. JustRite Stampers JB-09050 2″ Decorative Borders, JB-09100 Custom Design Cardmaking Kit.

Enjoy!

CHA Bound!

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

I can’t believe it’s that time of the year! I’ll be heading to Anaheim  on Friday to help in the Spellbinders™ Paper Arts booth. Myself and nine other Design Team Members will be demonstrating the new dies templates as well as a few other goodies soon to be released.

I will do my best to post photos if I can get my hands on a computer. I believe a few of the other girls will have a laptop  and I may be able to use one of theirs. If not I’ll do my best to post when I return. Be sure to check out the other Design Team members blogs I’m sure they will be updating as they can.

Thank you for all of the wonderful comments on my Spellbinders™ Surprise Party Reveal. I’m still new to blogging and have yet to reply to everyone who left a comment. I do appreciate you visiting my blog and hope I inspire you with my designs.

Here is a project from the Spellbinders™ Gallery. I re-purposed one of the original JustRite Stampers boxes. They used to package their stamp sets in the nicest boxes. I covered the box with various papers, stamped a few images on the lid and added a focal embellishment on top of the box. I then made coordinating thank you cards. Wouldn’t this make a great gift?

I used Spellbinders™ die templates S4-114 Standard Circles LG #1 (with #1 being the smallest), S4-116 Standard Circles SM #4, S4-230 Labels Six #2, 3, 5, 6, S4-207 Kaleidoscope Pendant (center and accent), S4-216 Kaleidoscope Borderabilities™ Petite (continuous cut border)

I2-1009 Flourish Impressabilities™

You can see how quick and easy these cards are to make. You could even make different sentiment labels to include in the gift box for the recipient to choose from when sending a card.

CPS 150

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

Here’s my take on this weeks CPS 150 sketch.

I used the soon to be released Spellbinders™ S4-248 Labels Thirteen die templates #5 and 6 (with #1 being the smallest). Be sure to check with your local retailer to see if they are offering special orders on any of the dies that were featured during the Spellbinders™ Surprise Party. This set is one you will want to add to your Nestabilities™ inventory for sure!

Enjoy!

I’ve been busy lately making Valentine’s Day cards as well as working on a few projects for the Mosaic Moments design blog, classes at The Stamping and Scrapbooking Room and trying out for a few design teams. More on that later….

These mini albums were made with the new RTC (Ready To Cut Mosaic Grid paper)

The above two cards were also made with RTC Mosaic Grid paper and these Love Seals clear stamps. You can visit this post for more information on the RTC Grid paper and see how I made the mini albums and cards.

These two cards are from a class I taught at The Stamping and Scrapbooking Room. I’ll be posting instructions soon on the Nestabilities page of this blog.

This was just a fun card I made using the pink paisley papers from Hobby Lobby. I just love the pink and brown combination and who can’t resist the Swiss Dot embossing folder from Provo Craft. I also used the McGill Library Pocket  punch as well as the Perfect Petals Baby Blooms punch and the Scallop Border and Ticket Corner punch from Stampin’ Up
